QUICK REVIEW: A deliciously sweet jar of yummy lemon scrub for smooth skin. Lovely happiness in a jar!!
(Original Post: 5/05/10): This brilliant glass jar (which is a downside, but I honestly can’t see it packaged any other way) contains a sorbet textured scrub laden with real sugar and a short list of oils and botanicals. It seriously is like a morphing cleanser that can’t decide if its a scrub, an oil cleanser or a foaming one. No matter which way you decide to use it – expect to have glowing, baby smooth skin. Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser also smells reminiscent of sweet candied lemons that is so ridiculously pleasant that it will literally bring a smile to your lips (which you can also scrub with this for magnificent results).
You can use Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser on dry skin (most exfoliating, higher foam), on dry skin after emulsifying it with wet hands (like an oil cleanser) or with wet hands and face like a traditional foaming cleanser (best for more frequent use). You only need to use a small amount (about the size of a pinto bean – little bigger than a pea) and one jar will last a long time. Its not recommended for rosacea or cystic acne. I have a mild case of rosacea and was able to use it successfully (I use it about 3x a week). This is by far, my favorite product from Suki and one that I must always have on hand.
UPDATE (8/10/10): Still in love. I’m also using Goldfaden Daily Scrub which I also really like – but the two products are so monumentally different that I can’t really say one is better than the other. The Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser is still one of my top products.
UPDATE (12/30/2010): I finally got to my second jar of Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser, but have put in on the shelf while I use up my LUSH Buche de Noel Fresh Cleanser. The Suki Cleanser is still one of my top favorites…its like happiness in a jar.
UPDATE (06/30/2011): I’m still on my second jar and rarely get a chance to use this since I only exfoliate once a week – and I’ve been testing other products. I think I don’t use it more because of the glass jar as well – but its still my top recommendation for a foaming scrub. I simply adore the lemon scent and it really is a great pick me up during the hot Summer months, or when you just feel a little grumps.
