A Funny Thing Happened One Morning. About a month ago, I purchased Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Eye Treatment ($42.50) and it was sitting quite contently on my vanity. The hydrating but lightweight cream was really helping stave off any “hello, I haven’t had a quiet moment in 3 weeks” look that was confidently creeping up on me.
As I did my hair (in vain) one morning, I heard a commotion which included a “What’s that on her hand?”…which I admit, as part of my Mommy radar, I already knew what had ensued. Scroll to the end of this post to see what my two year old did to my glorious eye cream. LOL!
The Mean Green Machine (well, Mask) – Ilike Fibrous Stonecrop Gel Mask ($42). A friend gave this to me since she was put off by the odd texture and color of this green mask. I’m glad I’m not texturally challenged, because I love this mask! It is pretty gross to look at – it ignited a round of “pond-scum” and “snail poop” jokes because it honestly looks like green slime with some odd pieces floating in it. But who cares!! This good and green smelling mask leaves skin smooth, totally hydrated, brighter and loads calmer too.

→Stila Nail Polish Set in Delicate ($24). Stila always does sparkle in just the right amounts. Their pretty new polishes are anything but delicate, but give fingers and toes the right amount of attention. Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Age-Correcting Cream ($250). And lots of it. After working a crazy amount of hours this past month and with my 39th birthday in a few weeks – I have to say, I’m looking a bit worse for wear. Like a silver angel, this lovely jar has pumped (or plumped) life back into my skin without making me greasy or breakout.
Estee Lauder Limited Edition Jeweled Pink Ribbon Pin ($12.50). It isn’t on my face, but I’ve been wearing it for two weeks. 20% of the sales from the suggested retail price of Estee Lauder’s Pink Ribbon Collection benefits The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrfcure.org). This beautiful pin has an added blue stone which represents the 1% of men who are affected by this disease. I wear it for all the Breast Cancer survivors in my life – and promise myself to be aware and self check. Who will you wear it for?
A killer antioxidant serum is an absolute must if you want to prevent premature aging of the skin. iS Clinical Super Serum Advance + ($140) not only provides anti-aging properties by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, but also significantly increases collagen (via Vitamin C), lightens pigmentation and reduces scar tissue. I used a sample vial of this for about a week and was able to see a difference in the overall look and texture of my skin. Full size please!
*I will say her arms and legs were really smooth afterward!
