EDITOR’S NOTE: I loved my iPhone. iCloud is close to genius – even if the genius is to have customers addicted to Apple. BUT – in an act of rebellion, when it was time to upgrade my phone I went with the Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket. Sure, the 4G LTI isn’t available in my area yet – but the 4G speed is unmistakeable.
At first I had buyer’s remorse. What would I do without Emoji, Plants vs. Zombie and would I really have to re-enter my iCloud calendars to my Google Calendar? Luckily, several apps and lots of settings later – I have my iCloud calendar, Plants vs. Zombies (which launched a week after I got my phone – LOL!) and can till my hearts content. I admit I miss iTunes and loading music onto the SD Micro card was a little annoying. Still – I have Save Ferris “Come on Eileen” as my current ringtone so it was worth it!
It also has a great diary feature that I use to take pictures of products and make notes for future reference.
↑NEW! Tom Ford Beauty – When Estee Lauder and Tom Ford collaborated on the Amber Nude collection back in 2006(?) I thought the idea was simply genius. He’s a gloriously sexy man and his vision of what a woman should wear (on her body & on her face) is always spot-on. He recently launched a full cosmetic line including luxuriously priced skin care. My favorites are the Eye Color Quads ($75) which have four colors that are shade coordinated and make sense. No overly glittery or artsy color combinations (so far). Another star product is his signature Lip Color in Black Orchid ($48) which coordinates with his Black Orchid fragrance.
Eminence Strawberry Rhubarb Masque ($78). I’m not sure how I prevent myself from slathering this deliciously scented mask on my morning toast! Perhaps its the incredibly rejuvenating results I get every time I use this rich, strawberry (strawberry juice is the first ingredient) mask. My skin has noticeably dried out since the minor shift in weather – and using this 3x a week (or more) before my PM skin care really gives me a boost of moisture and light exfoliation.
Eminence Eight Greens Youth Serum ($42). With a surprisingly simple ingredient list which includes Yucca Juice, Lavender Extract and Alpha Lipoic Acid – I’m hoping that Eight Greens Youth Serum will give my skin a much needed boost in hydration and antioxidant protection. Formulated to reduce fine lines, heal skin and prevent hormonal breakouts, the formulation seems to address all my current skin care concerns. I recently ordered it to use with the Clear Skin Probiotic Moisturizer ($58) and Mineral Concentrate Cleanser ($38) for an extra boost of moisture and rejuvenation.
