QUICK REVIEW: Very lightweight, works well under makeup for daily use and for outdoor activities as well.
the REVIEW: La Roche-Posay is known for its wildly popular and effective Anthelios formulations which remain popular amongst beauty editors and dermatologists alike. Personally, I’ve used up 2 tubes of Anthelios 40 which has a rich, creamy texture and kept me burn free for the entire Summer season. However, the same creamy formula which felt so great on my body, did not fare so well on my combination facial skin. Enter La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid.
This super lightweight sunscreen has a liquid texture and disappears almost immediately after application. It works perfectly under makeup or alone. The matte texture leaves skin looking smooth and shine free. I’ve used it during running events, under makeup and even on my children with no irritation. The pin point applicator prevents spilling and dispenses just enough product to cover smaller areas like the face and upper body.
“Anthelios: A leader in high UVA protection. Advanced patented sunscreen technologies in revolutionary textures. For over 15 years, La Roche-Posay has been at the forefront in advanced UV protection research. Anthelios, the La Roche-Posay suncare brand, is trusted and recognized by dermatologists worldwide, for providing advanced formulations in UVA & UVB protection.” – La Roche-Posay Website
Very much like the Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid ($25.50) which utilizes Vitamin E and White Grape Polyphenols, La Roche-Posay uses Cell-Ox Shield or Senna Alata which is supposed to be effective in treating fungal infections and in fighting free radical damage.
While a bit expensive for a sunscreen, La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid is a Summer (and year round) must have. The tiny compact bottle fits easily into any beach bag, sports duffel or handbag – making reapplication a breeze. Plus, the lightweight, clear-on-contact texture makes using it a pleasure.
SKINCARE ADVICE: To complete your skin protection regimen, use an anti-oxidant serum like La Roche-Posay Derm AOX ($59.95) to neutralize free radicals and smooth skin texture. Drier skin types may like the cream texture of Anthelios 40 Sunscreen ($34.95 for 1.7oz.).
