COSMETIC PRODUCT REVIEWS

The spa experience could never be complete without an exotic clay based mask. In tandem with other Omorovicza products or with your current skin care, Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask is the perfect addition to any routine, providing a truly spa-like experience and results.

Deep Cleansing Mask has a unique creamy texture that spreads evenly and smoothing across skin without any pulling or tugging. It feels like a creamy moisturizer with a slightly herbal/clay scent that isn’t overwhelming but actually quite pleasant. I use a flat foundation brush (MAC 191 Square Foundation Brush) to evenly apply it to the entire face and neck area -avoiding the immediate eye area- and relax for about 20 minutes to let the mask do its magic. The activated mask is easy to remove on its own with warm water, but using a damp wash cloth prior to rinsing facilitates the process.

How does Deep Cleansing Mask compare to other clay based masks? For active breakouts, I prefer something a little more powerful like LUSH Mask of Magnaminty ($22.95) which works for oily/acne skin types but does not have the same plumping, smoothing effect as the Deep Cleansing Mask. The Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask is more of an overall skin perfecting treatment that effectively clears pores of debris and leaves skin balanced with a radiant glow. It is a wonderful option for those with combination/dry skin or those with a tendency to have a dull skin tone.

Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask (DCM) vs. Sisley-Paris Radiant Glow Express Mask (RGEM)

OMOROVICZA VS SISLEYThe DCM weighs in at about $13/oz. more than the RGEM. DCM has a richer more dense texture that is still very creamy and easy to apply while the RGEM is a bit runny and difficult to apply – although the RGEM tube is more convenient that the DCM pretty glass jar. The RGEM needs only 3-5 minutes to remove surface impurities, while the DCM requires about 15-20 minutes but the extra time yields a more dramatic and longer lasting result.

WINNER: Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask. Unless the extra 10 minutes is an issue.

THE FINAL ROAROmorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask is literally like a professional facial in a jar that manages to leave skin hydrated and poreless all at the same time. Oily/acne skin can benefit from the preventative qualities of this creamy clay mask, while those with dry/sensitive skin will appreciate the potent, yet gentle results. Since I rarely can find the time in my insanely busy schedule to go to a spa, Omorovicza products have become my go-to for a truely luxurious at-home spa experience. Its a bit extravagant, but the results you see, especially in tired, stressed, Mom-on-the-go skin is worth every penny.
