The Face Shop Simpe Step Melting Cleanser | Review

A revolutionary melting cleanser that helps remove makeup just like a cleansing foam. When gently applied for 15-30 seconds, the makeup will automatically melt away.

THE FACE SHOP SIMPLE STEP MELTING CLEANSERPRODUCT RATING: ★★★★★★★★☆ (8/10)

PRICE DETAILS: TBD, 5.07 fl.oz.

PRESENTATION: Plastic bottle with pump

TEXTURE & SCENT: Gel texture that melts into a liquid, mild floral scent

SKIN TYPE: All Skin Types

KEY FEATURES: Panthenol and Soapwort a natural detergent that has more powerful detergency than soapberries as it has abundant saponin. Oil free, soap free.

QUICK REVIEW: I really wish I had this when I would stumble into the house at 4am and stand bleary eyed over my sink trying to take off my makeup. Those days are long gone – I now wake up at 4am! Still, THE FACE SHOP SIMPLE STEP MELTING CLEANSER is wonderful for those occasions when you want a quick change or just want to hit the sack a few minutes faster. The clear gel spreads easily over skin and in 15 seconds – you just rinse it off. Skin is left remarkably clean and makeup free. The only issues I had was with the fragrance (I prefer none) and when I applied it around the eye area (according to directions) it burned – so an eye makeup remover is still needed (minus stars for that). Still – it breaks down heavy face makeup better than a oil cleanser and rinses away completely clean. So now you really don’t have an excuse for sleeping with your makeup on.

BONUS: It makes an incredible brush cleaner as well. Just rub a little into the brush head and rinse well. Even my stained brushes were left pristine.

      1. Sad to hear that. One of the most disturbing videos I saw recently was from the Korea town in China. I’d probably just shy away from Korea or China based products in general. Which is sad, since I love those face masks.

      2. Here’s what Estee Lauder has to say:
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is committed to the elimination of animal testing. We are equally committed to consumer health and safety, and bringing to market products that comply with applicable regulations in every country in which our products are sold. We do not conduct animal testing on our products or ingredients, nor ask others to test on our behalf, except when required by law. We evaluate our finished products in clinical tests on volunteer panels. Estée Lauder fully supports the development and global acceptance of non-animal testing alternatives. To this end, the Company works extensively with the industry at large and the global scientific community to research and fund these alternatives.
